PLANH WEBINAR: From the Ground Up – Indigenous Food Sovereignty
November 26 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join Jacob Beaton for a PlanH webinar offering information and resources for Indigenous communities working toward food sovereignty. Jacob is the Tsimshian founder of Tea Creek and the Indigenous Food Sovereignty Association (IFSA), and he’ll share the knowledge and experience they’ve built at Tea Creek. Everyone is welcome.
The session opens with an overview of Indigenous food sovereignty: what it means, and what it looks like in practice. Jacob and his team will then explore practical approaches for strengthening food sovereignty, with a focus on communities that are just getting started or have limited resources. The presentation runs about 30 minutes, followed by audience questions and discussion.
Thursday, November 26, 10–11 a.m. B.C. time, on Microsoft Teams. Please note: B.C. is no longer changing its clocks, so 10 a.m. B.C. time is 9 a.m. in Washington, Oregon and California, and noon in Ontario.
Before you join: if you have time, watch the documentary Tea Creek on CBC Gem.
Hosted by PlanH Program Lead Erica McCollum.
