Grant reviews underway for 2025 PlanH funding

BC Healthy Communities staff are busy assessing 2025 PlanH Healthy Communities Grant applications, with successful applicants expected to be notified in August.
Following an extended application deadline of July 16, all submissions are being screened for eligibility as outlined in the grant application guide. The adjudication committee is evaluating applications based on their alignment with program objectives, proposed expenses, and a commitment to equity, collaboration, sustainability, and upstream approaches to public health.
Grants will be distributed across different health authority regions, with extra funding available for projects in the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) region, thanks to a partnership with VCH. Priority will be given to high-quality applications from communities of all sizes and locations, with a strong focus on supporting small and rural areas.
The PlanH Healthy Communities Grants—managed by BC Healthy Communities with support from the B.C. Ministry of Health—help local governments strengthen community connectedness and implement healthy public policy. Funding is available through two streams: Community Connectedness (up to $5,000) and Healthy Public Policy (up to $15,000).
