The South Island Prosperity Project (SIPP) Open Innovation Challenge received an impressive number of quality submissions, all responding to the opportunity to create ‘smart’ solutions for economic growth challenges. And now, it's time to celebrate the winners! 

Smart South Island Innovation Challenge

SIPP is inviting the public to view and vote for their favourite presentations. Out of some 69 proposed projects, ten finalists have been selected and will make their case for why their project best contributes to sustainable development & prosperity. 

The top presenters are boasting about their brilliant ideas which include everything from leisure apps, to social connectedness in aging populations, to urban orchards. See all of the finalists at Smart South Island.
