BC Healthy Communities has extended the application deadline for the 2026 PlanH Healthy Communities Grants to June 9<\/strong>, giving local and Indigenous governments more time to prepare and submit their proposals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grants are offered across two funding streams. The Community Connectedness stream provides up to $5,000 for projects that build relationships among community members and create lasting partnerships. The Healthy Public Policy stream offers up to $15,000 for projects that develop new policies \u2014 or strengthen existing ones \u2014 to improve community health and well-being. Both streams ask applicants to apply an equity lens so outcomes benefit people who have historically been excluded from local decision-making. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funded by the B.C. Ministry of Health and administered by BC Healthy Communities Society, the PlanH program supports local and Indigenous governments in creating healthier communities through resources, practices and learning opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
