Social Connections & Resiliency

"Approximately 200,000 immigrants a year from all parts of the globe continue to choose Canada, drawn by its quality of life and its reputation as an open, peaceful and caring society that welcomes newcomers and values diversity" (Canadian Heritage, 2012).

Inclusion and diversity is about creating thriving communities where diversity adds to the social, cultural and economic vibrancy of the community and health, well-being and quality of life is enjoyed by all.

BCHC works with communities across the province to build on opportunities to foster inclusion and diversity.  In particular, we have been working closely with newcomer youth populations and multi-cultural intergenerational activities through out the lower mainland.
